Math Tips
Skills We Learn:
1. Skip Counting by 2's, 5's, and 10's (You can use a Hundred's Chart for this.)
2. Shape Identification (circle, square, rectangle, triangle, pyramid, cone, cube, rectangular prism, cylinder)
3. Addition (We begin with one digit addition. Later in the year, we will move to two digit addition.)
4. Subtraction (We work on simple subtraction and later will introduce two digit subtraction.)
5. Patterning
6. Measurement by nonstandard units and standard units
7. Weight/Capacity Measurement using cups and a scale
8. Counting groups of coins
9. Telling time to the hour and half hour
